For nearly fifteen years I have been involved in the craft spirits scene of the San Francisco Bay Area. As a Brand Specialist, bartender, and volunteer for both SF World Spirits Competition and ADI Spirit Competition, my experience in the industry is broad and diverse. As a specialist, with each brand that I have introduced, I have achieved great market impact and have familiarity with building awareness for both craft and mainstream spirit brands.
When I was 21, I got my first start behind a bar in downtown Baltimore. In 2008, I packed up and moved across the country to discover the up-and-coming cocktail scene of San Francisco. While working behind several bars in the Bay Area, I fell in love with the community and the educational opportunities presented by my chosen career path and immersed myself in learning by attending book clubs, workshops, and seminars. When I was introduced to the USBG and LUPEC, I was enchanted by the many prospects for growth beyond the bar. From there, I soon found myself competing in cocktail competitions and ultimately orchestrating benefits and numerous unique and engaging events surrounding spirits education. My passion for knowledge and storytelling quickly propelled me into supplier roles, and through the connections I have made in the craft spirits industry across the country, I continue to learn a great deal and am excited to share that knowledge with others in creative and captivating ways.
